Jazz vs. Spurs Prediction
Will the Spurs stay perfect on the year with a win and a cover tonight against the Jazz at 8:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Spurs are 10.5-point home favorites versus the visiting Jazz while the over/under currently sits at 187. As of this writing, neither the side nor the total have moved off the original numbers posted by oddsmakers.
Utah has started the season 1-2, with losses to the Trail Blazers and Clippers and a win over the Lakers. They have failed to cover the spread in each of their first three games, losing at the betting window as a 6-point underdog at Portland, as a 9.5-point home favorite versus the Lakers, and as a 7.5-point underdog at the Clippers. The under has also hit in two of the Jazz’s three games to start the season.
The Spurs, meanwhile, are a perfect 4-0 to start the year, with wins at Golden State, Sacramento and Miami, and a home victory over New Orleans. The Spurs are also 3-0-1 against the spread, with covers against the Warriors as an 8.5-point road underdog, against the Pelicans as a 13.5-point home favorite, and at the Heat as a 6.5-point favorite. Their lone push came as an 8-point favorite on the road versus the Kings.

OUR PREDICTION: The home team and favorite have had a ton of success in this series, with the home team going 35-16-1 against the spread in the last 52 meetings between these two teams and the favorite compiling a 27-13-1 ATS record in the last 41 meetings. The Jazz, meanwhile, are just 6-19-1 at the betting window in their last 26 games in San Antonio and haven’t covered a spread in five straight games dating back to last season. It’s a big number, but the Spurs should cover tonight.
