LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – After winning the AFC title a year ago and appearing in the Super Bowl, will the Broncos avoid a setback this season?

According to oddsmakers, the Broncos’ win total for 2014 has been set at 11.5. With Peyton Manning under center, the team racked up 13 wins in each of the last two years in route to a divisional round loss and a horrendous defeat at the hands of the Seahawks in last season’s Super Bowl. Will they win over 11.5 games again for the third straight year?
In my opinion, take Denver and the ‘OVER’ 11.5. I usually go against the the grain, but Denver is stacked this season and Manning is pissed, trust me. He gets to take out his frustrations in Week 3 as the Broncos travel to face Seattle in a big revenge game from last year’s Super Bowl, and yes, the Broncos will win this time around.
They also have a rough stretch playing while playing four road games in five weeks, which includes a trip to New England, but I don’t see the Broncos losing more than three road games all year. They have a cupcake home schedule and should go undefeated in Denver. Thus, look for the Broncos to go 13-3 on the season as the defense is stronger and the offense is more potent as well.
The Broncos signed Demarcus Ware in free agency. The former Prop Powler is an elite NFL defensive end when healthy and is a vocal guy in the locker room. They also signed Aqib Talib to play cornerback and selected Bradley Roby from Ohio State in the first round of May’s draft.
I like Montee Ball to be the primary running back behind a solid offensive line. The addition of Emanuel Sanders at wide receiver is huge as well. Manning can pick his poison and you will see the ESPN ‘score alert’ early and often this season as the Broncos make a run for the Super Bowl.
