NFL Week 9 Betting: Will the Broncos cover against the Patriots?

Will the Broncos cover in Foxboro?

FOXBORO, MA (The Spread) – Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos travel to face Tom Brady and the New England Patriots this week. Let’s take a look at which team may have the edge for bettors.

Get Jay Dotson’s Expert Picks

The Broncos and Patriots both come into this game riding four game winning streaks.  This is probably the most interesting game in Sunday’s lineup as these teams have been playing at a high level. Denver is currently listed as three point road favorites in this matchup.  The Broncos have been dominating since their overtime loss to the Seahawks.  Denver has won by at least 14 points during this 4-0 run including wins over the Cardinals, 49ers, and Chargers.  The Broncos are also 12-2 SU and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games listed as road favorites.

The Patriots haven’t been slouches themselves during their 4-0 run as they have put up an average of 38.5 points per game in this span.  The Patriots have also allowed their share of points lately 23 points per game, but thanks to Tom Brady and the hot offense it hasn’t come into play.  The Patriots are 8-2 SU and 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games listed as home dogs.  It’s no secret New England is tough to beat on its field as they are 26-3 SU in their last 26 home games.

I look for Peyton and company to take care of business in this one.  The money appears to be 50/50 right now, but you have to have a real strong argument in front of you to bet against the dominating Broncos. Lay the points in this one.
