NFL Wildcard Weekend: Will Cardinals cover as dogs vs. Panthers?

Will Panthers cover vs. Cards?

CHARLOTTE, NC (The Spread) – The Panthers host the Cardinals on Saturday at Bank of America Stadium set to go at 4:35 pm on NFL Wildcard Weekend. Will the Cardinals cover in this one?

View Jay Dotson’s Expert Picks

The Panthers finished the season 7-8-1 SU and 8-8 ATS but won their last four including blowing out two divisional opponents.  The Panthers also picked it up defensively down the stretch holding their opponents to under 11 points during their 4-0 SU run.  The Panthers are 1-3 ATS in their last four home games but they are coming into this one hot.  I look for the Panthers to do enough to cover this number.

The Cardinals started off the season great behind the play of their defense and quarterback Carson Palmer.  Unfortunately injuries to Palmer and back up QB Drew Stanton have caused the offense to stall.  The Cardinals finished the season 3-3 ATS and are on a 5-9 ATS skid versus NFC South opponents.  I look for the Cardinals struggles to continue here.

These two defenses will look to keep this one a low scoring affair, but the Panthers will do just enough to get it done for us. Lay the points in this one.
