Will the Red Wings pick up their first victory of the 2016 season when they host the Senators tonight at 7:30PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Red Wings are -135 money line favorites to top the Senators, who have odds of +115 to pull off the upset in Detroit tonight. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 5.5 goals.

The Senators are off to a 2-0 start after beating the Maple Leafs 5-4 in overtime to start their 2016 campaign, and following a 4-3 shootout victory over the Canadiens on Saturday. The over cashed in both of those games and Ottawa won as the home favorite in each contest.

The Red Wings are heading in the opposite direction to start their season. They’re 0-2 following road losses to Tampa Bay and Florida. They fell 6-4 to the Lightning as a +156 money line underdog and then 4-1 to the Panthers as a +118 underdog on Saturday. The over cashed in their game versus the Bolts but the Florida total pushed at the betting window.

The Wings are also 0-4 in their last four games overall, are 1-5 in their last six games when playing on one day of rest, and are 0-4 in their last four games when playing an opponent with a winning percentage above .600. The road team has also won five of the last seven meetings between these two teams.
