Oklahoma vs. Iowa State Week 10 College Football Predictions 11/3/1/6

Oklahoma vs. Iowa State Prediction

Will Iowa State cover as a heavy home underdog tonight when it hosts Oklahoma at 7:30PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Sooners are now 20-point road favorites versus the Cyclones after opening as a 19.5-point favorite when the lines were first released. As for the total, the number opened at 70 but has been bet up to 71.5.

Bet College Football Week 10 Games

Oklahoma has absolutely dominated Iowa State since 1962, going 44-1-1 against the Cyclones over that span. The Sooners have won 17 straight meetings with the Cyclones going back to 1991 and this season are averaging 51.4 points per game in conference play. According to ESPN.com, Oklahoma would be the fifth major conference team in the last 20 seasons to average at least 50 points in conference games.

Iowa State has really struggled in Big 12 play since the start of the 2014 season, winning just twice over its last 23 conference games. The only team in the FBS with a worse conference record during that time is Kansas at 1-22.

OUR PREDICTION: Even though the Cyclones never beat the Sooners and are struggling in conference play, they don’t have to win for these purposes: They just have to cover. They may not be winning much on the field in conference play, but they’re 4-1 at the betting window in their last five games against Big 12 opponents. They’re also 4-0 against the spread in their last four games played on Thursday, are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games overall, and are 5-1 against the number in their last six home games.
