Rays, Indians carry value this week
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – There’s no shortage of MLB games this week. Let’s take a look at a couple games with a pitching advantage bettors can use to add to their bankrolls.
The first game takes place Wednesday night between the Baltimore Orioles and Tampa Bay at Tropicana Field in Florida, set to go at 7:10pm ET. Bud Norris is scheduled to get the start for the Orioles, while Cesar Ramos is set to go for the Rays. Norris is 2-2 with a 3.94 ERA on the season, while Ramos is 1-1 with a 2.91 ERA.
This is more a play about fading Norris on the road, as he carries a big drop in performance, as compared to his work on his home turf. Norris so far this season, is carrying an ERA over 6.00 on the road. Ramos’ stats might now blow you away, but the Orioles struggle versus LHP as they sit in the bottom in that category. Take the Rays Wednesday night .
The next game we’re going to take a look at take places at Progressive Field Thursday between the Minnesota Twins and the Cleveland Indians, which is set to go early 12:05pm ET. The Twins are scheduled to start Kevin Correia, while the Indians are scheduled to start Justin Masterson.
Correia is 1-3 with a 6.09 ERA on the season, while Masterson is 1-1 with a 4.01 ERA. Correia carried a losing record on the road last season, and isn’t off to a good start so far this season. Masterson does his best work at home, and coming off his first win of the season, looks to carry that momentum Vs the Twins in this one. Correia is also coming off his first win of the season, but I don’t look for him to bring much to the table in this spot. Take the Indians Thursday.
