Pacers vs. Bulls Handicap Free Pick
The Bulls have struggled to cover the spread as a home favorite this year and bettors can take advantage of Chicago’s ATS struggles by backing the Pacers tonight.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, Indiana is a 3.5-point road underdog for tonight’s 8:00PM ET tip-off in Chicago. The Bulls opened as a 3-point home favorite but with 57% of public bettors backing the home team at the betting window, the line has been bet up a half point.
The Bulls are just 4-11 against the spread as a home favorite this season, winning by an average margin of 3.2 points. That number improves to just 6-11 ATS when Chicago is a home team of any variety, and is just 7-13 against the number as a favorite this season.
Meanwhile, Frank Vogel’s Pacers are 5-3 at the betting window as an away underdog in 2015, losing by only average margin of -1.0 points. As an underdog either home or away this season, Indiana is 7-5 against the spread (-1.7 margin), and as a road team the Pacers are 8-7 against the number, winning by an average margin of 1.5.
Both of these teams rank in the top 6 in terms of defensive efficiency but the Bulls will once again be without stout defender Joakim Noah (left shoulder strain) for tonight’s game.
