Is VA Tech a value play tonight?
CHESTNUT HILL, MA (The Spread) – Virginia Tech has really struggled in conference play this season but are they a solid bet tonight versus Boston College? Let’s take a look at the matchup.
The VA Tech Hokies (8-11 SU) haven’t been up to par this season SU or ATS. They’re at the bottom of the ACC when it comes to covering the spread coming in at 2-5 ATS and have dropped six straight in ACC play. Things won’t get much easier for them on Wednesday night when they hit the highway to take on Boston College. The Eagles’ only ACC win this season came against Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.
That said, the Hokies’ record looks rough in these six losses but they did play Clemson and at Notre Dame fairly tough. The Eagles are also 0-4 on the season as a home favorite, and I can see this Hokie squad keeping it within the point spread.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book have installed the Eagles as 7-point favorites versus the Hokies while the over/under total has yet to be posted.
This is a rare instance this season where the smart money will be on VA Tech. Put your money on VA Tech against the spread against Boston College and good Luck out there.
