Which MLB teams offer great value?
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – The MLB season is off and running so let’s take a look at teams offering value this season, as well as teams hitting on the over/under with regularity.
Thus far, there are six teams with a winning record when listed as an underdog. Those teams are the Brewers, Braves, Cards, Yankees, Giants, and Orioles. The Brewers are the surprise of the season as they went on a nine-game tear while chewing through the BoSox, Phillies, and Pirates. The Brewers won’t find themselves listed as underdogs very often until they cool off a little.
The Marlins have been the home dog to back this season, as they are 3-1 in that role. The Padres, although they sit at 4-6 when listed as a dog, hold some value in the right situation as they have solid pitching with the likes of Andrew Cashner in pitcher friendly Petco Park. On the flip side, the Oakland A’s have been the favorite to back this season as they are 9-2 when listed as the favorite. The Dodgers, Brewers, and Mets have been the teams to hit on the run line as all 3 teams have covered 69% of the time this season.
There are five teams so far that have been hot on the Over. The Giants lead the way with an 11-2 record on the over, while the Twins come in 2nd at 10-2. The Rockies and Angels are tied at 10-3, while the Snakes come in at 12-4. The flip side of that has the BoSox, Pads, and Brewers as teams to back on the Under. The BoSox are 10-3 on the under, while the Pads, and Brew Crew are 9-4 Vs the Under.
