Los Angeles Dodgers Fantasy Spin
Dodgers activated 1B/3B David Freese from the 10-day injured list. Freese will be ready to rock for the start of the second half after missing a little over two weeks with a left hamstring strain. The 36-year-old corner infielder boasts a .308/.407/.592 batting line with eight home runs and 23 RBI in 56 games this season with Los Angeles.
Boston Red Sox Fantasy Spin
Christian Vazquez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday’s win over the Tigers. Vazquez mashed a two-run home run off Tigers opener Gregory Soto in the second inning. He finishes up the pre-All-Star break schedule seeing the ball well, having picked up hits in eight of his last 10 games, with four home runs in that space. On the whole, this has been a true standout campaign for the backstop, as he has already set career bests in both home runs and RBI with half the season still remaining to be played. With Sunday’s win on the books, Vazquez is now hitting .299/.332/.520 with 14 home runs and 41 RBI over the course of 254 at-bats.
