Updated Divisional Playoff Odds
(TheSpread) – Major League Baseball is set to get its playoffs started this weekend. Here is a look at the odds to win each of the divisional playoff series matchups.
In the Divisional Playoffs, teams play in a Best-of-5 format. The first team to win three games advances to the Championship Series. Unlike most years, this year’s divisional playoffs has the lesser seed hosting the first two games and then the higher seed getting the last three games at home.
In the American League, one of the series has the Oakland A’s meeting the Detroit Tigers. The A’s are the No. 2 seed and the AL West Champion while the Tigers are the No. 3 seed and winners of the AL Central. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, The Tigers are the actual favorite to win the series, as they have odds of -150, while the A’s have a money line of +130. Detroit went 88-74 this year and won the Central by three games.
