Friday’s MLB Odds
(TheSpread) – The 2012 MLB Season continues its opening day week as there are nine games on the schedule. Here is a look at the odds for each game on the docket.
The featured game on the day has the Tampa Bay Rays hosting the New York Yankees at 3:10PM ET (View Matchup). The Yankees send C.C. Sabathia to the mound while the Rays will have James Shields on the mound. According the oddsmakers, New York is the favorite to win this game with odds of -118, while the Rays have odds of +111 to win. The over/under total for runs scored has been set at 7. The Rays are just 6-14 in their last 20 games where Shields starts against the Yankees.
The other featured game of the day has the Arizona Diamondbacks hosting the San Francisco Giants at 7:10PM ET (View Matchup). The Giants will have Tim Lincecum face off with Ian Kennedy of the D’Backs. Oddsmakers see Arizona as the favorite in this game, with a money line of -114, while the Giants have odds of +107 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 7 runs. Arizona has won its last five meetings with San Francisco and two of those wins saw Kennedy start on the mound.
