Friday’s MLB Odds

The featured game of the night has the New York Mets hosting the New York Yankees at 7:10PM ET (View Matchup). The Mets have Jon Niese on the mound to face Andy Pettitte of the Yankees. According to oddsmakers, the Yankees are the favorite to win this game, as they have odds of -140 to win, while the Mets have a money line of +130. The over/under total for this game has been set at 8.5 runs. The Yankees are 41-27 overall and 21-13 on the road while the Mets are 38-32 overall and 22-15 at home. The Yankees have won three straight and eight of their last nine against the Mets.
The other game of interest on Friday isn’t a game that is expected to be competitive, but it is the debut of Roy Oswalt for the Texas Rangers as they host the Colorado Rockies at 8:05PM ET (View Matchup). The Rockies are sending Christian Friedrich to the mound to face Oswalt. According to oddsmakers, the Rangers are the favorite to win this game, as they have a money line of -200. Colorado has odds of +185 to win, while the over/under total has been set at 10.5 runs. Texas is 43-27 overall and 20-12 at home while Colorado is 25-42 overall and 10-21 on the road. These two teams haven’t met since 2006 with the Rockies winning two of three.
