Wednesday night’s lone game has the Miami Marlins taking on the defending World Series champion, the St. Louis Cardinals, at 7:05PM ET (View Matchup). The pitching matchup pairs up Kyle Lohse taking on Josh Johnson. According to oddsmakers, the Marlins are the favorite to win this game, as they have a money line of -169, while the Cardinals have odds of +159 to win. The over/under total for runs scored has been set at 7.
The Cardinals come in as the champions, but lost some key pieces, including Albert Pujols. The Marlins have made some key upgrades. In this series, the Cardinals have won the last five meetings with the Marlins. Lohse failed to go past 5 innings in his last two starts for St. Louis. Johnson missed most of last season due to injury but he allowed just one earned run in each of his last two starts while the Marlins won both outings.
