2013 AL MVP Odds to Win
(The Spread) – With the 2013 MLB season nearly upon us, who will win the American League MVP this season? Let’s check out the odds.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Angels’ Mike Trout is a 6/1 favorite to win this year’s American League MVP award. Miguel Cabrera of the Tigers has the next best odds at 7/1, while Robinson Cano of the Yankees is 8/1 and Jose Bautista of the Blue Jays is 10/1.
Continuing with the odds, Albert Pujols of the Angels is 17/2, while Evan Longoria of the Rays and Josh Hamilton of the Halos are 12/1, respectively, to win the AL MVP award. Prince Fielder of the Tigers is 15/1, Adrian Beltre and Jacoby Ellsbury are 18/1, respectively, while Yeonis Cespedes, Jose Reyes and Adam Jones are all 20/1, respectively.
Cabrera won the MVP last season after hitting for the Triple Crown, while his teammate Justin Verlander won the award in 2011. Hamilton took home the honors in 2010, while Joe Mauer of the Twins won in 2009. Dustin Pedrioa of the Red Sox won the AL MVP in 2008, while Alex Rodriguez won the 2007 AL MVP with the Yankees.
Of that group, Pedroia is 25/1 to win this year’s AL MVP, while Verlander is 25/1 and Mauer is 33/1. Some of the other long shots include Edwin Encarnacion, Jered Weaver and David Price, who are all 25/1 to win this year’s AL MVP, respectively. For a complete list of odds, see below.
