Sunday’s MLB Playoff Odds
(TheSpread) – The MLB Playoffs continue on Sunday with a pair of critical Game 3s in the two NLDS series. Here is a look at the odds for both games.
The first game of the day has the Pittsburgh Pirates hosting the St. Louis Cardinals at 4:30PM ET in Game 3 of their series with it tied 1-1 (View Matchup). The Cardinals have Joe Kelly on the mound to face Francisco Lirano of the Pirates. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Pirates are favored at home, as they have odds of -153 to win, while the Cardinals have a money line of +141 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 6.5 runs. St. Louis took the first game of the series, 9-1, but Pittsburgh bounced back in Game 2 with a 7-1 victory. The Cardinals have still won five of their last six against the Pirates and the two have hit the over in six of their last seven meetings.
The second game on Sunday has the Los Angeles Dodgers hosting the Atlanta Braves at 8PM ET with their series tied 1-1 (View Matchup). The Dodgers have Hyun-Jin Ryu on the mound to face Julio Teheran of the Braves. According to oddsmakers, the Dodgers are favored at home, as they have odds of -145 to win, while the Braves have a money line of +134 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 6.5 runs. The Dodgers won the series opener, 6-1, while the Braves won Game 2 at home, 4-3. Atlanta has won three of its last four against the Dodgers and the two have hit the over in three straight meetings.
