The lone game of the day is a Game 5 in the NLDS with the St. Louis Cardinals hosting the Pittsburgh Pirates at 8PM ET (View Matchup) with the series tied 2-2. The Cardinals have Adam Wainwright on the mound to face Gerrit Cole of the Pirates. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Cardinals are favored at home, as they have odds of -150 to win, while the Pirates have a money line of +140. The over/under total for the game has been set at 6.5 runs.
The Cardinals won Game 1, 9-1, but then the Pirates won the next two games by a combined score of 12-4. The Cardinals bounced back in Game 4 with a 2-1 victory. St. Louis has actually won six of its last eight against Pittsburgh and the two have hit the over in seven of their last nine meetings.
