Game 5 of the NLCS features the Los Angeles Dodgers hosting the St. Louis Cardinals at 4PM ET (View Matchup) with the Cardinals holding a 3-1 lead in the series. The Cardinals are sending Joe Kelly to the mound to face Zack Greinke of the Dodgers. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Dodgers are favored at home, as they have odds of -175 to win, while the Cardinals have a money line of +155 to prevail. The over/under total for runs has been set at 6.5.
The Cardinals took a 3-1 lead in the series thanks to a 4-2 victory in Game 4 last night. The Cardinals got a win from pitcher Lance Lynn, who threw 5.1 innings, allowing six hits and two runs with five strikeouts. Ricky Nolasco started for Los Angeles, but allowed three runs in four innings. Matt Holliday had the big hit for St. Louis, with a two-run home run in the third inning that put the Cardinals up 3-0.
