The big race is in the AL Central where the Detroit Tigers are hosting the Minnesota Twins at 7:08PM ET with a Magic Number of 2 in the division. The Tigers have Kyle Lobstein (1-1) on the mound to face Ricky Nolasco (5-12) of the Twins. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Detroit is favored at home, as the Tigers have odds of -190 to win, while the Twins have been given a money line of +190 to win. The over/under total has been set at 8.5 runs. Detroit is 89-71 overall and 44-35 at home while Minnesota is 69-91 overall and 34-45 on the road. Minnesota has won three of its last four against Detroit, including an 11-4 win on Friday. These two have hit the over in seven of their last nine meetings.
Another featured game has the Chicago White Sox hosting the Kansas City Royals at 7:10PM ET, with the Royals 1 game behind Detroit in the Central. The oddsmakers have the Royals favored on the road, as they have odds of -160 to win, while the Sox have a money line of +150 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 7.5 runs. Kansas City has won six of its last seven against Chicago and the two have hit the over in three of their last four meetings.
The final game of note has the Cincinnati Reds hosting the Pittsburgh Pirates at 1:05PM ET. The Pirates are 1 game behind St. Louis in the NL Central race. Pittsburgh has Francisco Liriano (7-10) on the mound to face Alfredo Simon (15-10) of the Reds. Oddsmakers have the Pirates favored on the road, as they have odds of -155 to win, while the Reds have odds of +145 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 7 runs. Pittsburgh is 88-72 on the season and 37-42 on the road while Cincinnati is 74-86 overall and 42-37 at home. Pittsburgh has won three of its last four against the Reds and the two have hit the under in four straight meetings.
