According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Giants are -124 money line favorites over the Royals, who are +115 money line road underdogs for tonight’s 8:00PM ET start time. As for the total, it currently sits at 7 after the over hit in both games in Kansas City on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

The Royals opened as +115 money line underdogs but their odds have bumped up slightly to +117, while the Giants’ odds have gone from -125 to -127 at most online and Vegas sports books. The total hasn’t budged since opening at 7.

In the pitching matchup, Ned Yost will send Jeremy Guthrie to the hill versus Tim Hudson of the Giants. Both starters don’t have a decision in this year’s postseason but the two starters have respectable ERAs as Guthrie’s is 1.80 and Hudson’s is 3.29. This will be the first World Series start of Hudson’s lengthy career.

According to latest MLB trends, the Giants are 4-0 in their last four games following a loss, 6-0 in their last six World Series games at home and 9-1 in their last 10 games as a home favorite of between -110 and -150. They’re also 10-3 in Hudson’s last 13 starts as a home favorite and 8-2 in his last 10 home starts when the total is sitting between 7 and 8.5 runs. On the other side, the Royals are just 3-7 in Guthrie’s last 10 starts when their opponent scores two runs or less in their previous game and 0-4 in his last four starts after allowing two runs or less in their previous game.
