The Cubs were able to tie the series at 1-1 on Saturday with a 6-3 victory in St. Louis. Chicago started fast, putting up five runs in the second inning thanks to a couple of sacrifices and an infield single. The big hit was a two-run home run from Jorge Soler. The surge in runs pushed out Jaime Garcia, who lasted just two innings despite not giving up an earned run due to two errors from St. Louis. Kyle Hendricks lasted 4.2 innings, allowing three runs on four hits. The Chicago bullpen pitched 4.1 innings, allowing only two hits and no runs. These two come into today’s game having hit the over in 8 of their last 11 meetings.
