Jays favored to win AL pennant in 2016
After falling short of reaching the World Series this past season, the Toronto Blue Jays have opened with the best odds to win the American League pennant in 2016.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the Blue Jays have odds of 9/2 to represent the American League in the World Series next season. Toronto lost to Kansas City in the ALCS this past season and then watched as the Royals knocked off the Mets in the Fall Classic.
Speaking of the Royals, they don’t even have the next best odds behind the Blue Jays to repeat as AL pennant champions. The Rangers are 6/1, which are the best odds behind Toronto, followed by Houston and Kansas City, who are 7/1, respectively, to win the AL pennant in 2016. The Yankees are also 8/1 while the Red Sox are 9/1.
