2016 National League Pennant Odds
After opening as the favorite to win the World Series, it’s no surprise that the Los Angeles Dodgers are also favored to win the 2016 National League Pennant.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Dodgers have odds of 7/2 to win the National League Pennant in 2016 despite failing to advance in the NLDS last season. The defending National League champion Mets, meanwhile, have the next best odds to capture next season’s pennant at 4/1.
The upstart Cubs and their young hitters are 9/2 to win the pennant next year after being beaten soundly by the Mets in this past season’s NLCS. The Nationals, who just hired Dusty Baker to be their manager, are also 9/2 to win the National League pennant in 2016.
The Pirates and Cardinals are likely to battle in the NL Central again next year and are 11/2 and 6/1, respectively, to win the NLCS next season, while the Giants are 10/1 to represent the National League in the World Series next year. With 2016 being an even year, perhaps San Francisco has the most value of any team on the board. (The Giants won the World Series in 2010, 2012 and 2014.)
