Oakland A’s DFS SPIN
Tony Kemp went 0-for-4 as the Athletics’ leadoff man Wednesday against the Astros. Kemp had his OPS all of the way up to .875 two weeks ago, but he’s gone 3-for-34 since, dropping him back down to .778. That’s still quite good for a second baseman, of course, but considering that he came into this year with a career .679 OPS, it seems likely that his slide will continue.
Houston Astros DFS Spin
Jose Altuve hit a three-run homer Wednesday to help the Astros edge the Athletics 4-3. Altuve put the Astros on the board in the third. The A’s came back to tie the game afterwards, but Kyle Tucker gave the Astros another lead with a solo shot in the seventh and that one held up. Altuve’s homer was his 19th of the year. He has 18 in his last 54 games after hitting just one in his first 20 games.
A’s vs. Astros Betting Prediction
The A’s are 3-10 in their last 13 meetings with the Astros and are now 1-6 in their last seven games as an underdog. They’re also 1-8 in their last nine games versus a right-handed starter and 0-5 in their last four road games when facing a right-handed starter. The Astros, meanwhile, are 12-4 in their last 16 divisional games, are 21-7 in their last 27 home games versus a team with a winning record and are 4-0 in their last four games when facing a right-handed starter.
