LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – Not surprisingly, Angels’ star Mike Trout is currently the odds favorite to win the 2015 American League MVP award.

View Tonight’s MLB Odds

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Trout is a 1/2 favorite over every player in the American League to take home this year’s MVP award. “Any Other Player” has odds of 3/2.

Trout is currently hitting .310 with a .400 OBP and a .624 slugging percentage. He has 32 home runs through 102 games, has scored 76 runs and has driven in 68 runners for the first-place Angels. Beyond tranditional stats, he also has a 6.4 WAR, a 184 wRC+ and a wOBA of .428. His 6.4 WAR is tied with Bryce Harper for best in Major League Baseball.

After Miguel Cabrera took home the award in back-to-back years in 2012 and 2013, Trout won the AL MVP in 2014. With the year he’s having both offensively and defensively, it’s no wonder why he’s the current odds favorite to win the honors again this season.
