Angels vs. Mariners Prediction
Even though they’ll have Shohei Ohtani on the hill tonight in Seattle, the Angels are only -120 on the moneyline when they open a new series versus the Mariners. Are the Halos a safe play at 10:10 p.m. ET?
Game Snapshot

Los Angeles Angels DFS SPIN
Shohei Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a triple and a run scored in Wednesday’s loss to the Dodgers. Ohtani had done nothing against Tyler Anderson over his first three at-bats, but with Anderson just two outs away from a no-hitter in the ninth, the reigning AL MVP struck for a triple to break up the no-no. Overall this season, Ohtani is hitting .259/.335/.485 with 13 homers, 37 RBI and seven steals in 239 at-bats. He owns a 3.64 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 71/13 K/BB ratio (54 1/3 innings) as a pitcher.
Seattle Mariners DFS SPIN
Adam Frazier went 0-for-3 with a walk as the Mariners were shut out by the Twins on Wednesday. Frazier was moved down in the lineup late last month but has been back in the leadoff spot for the last two games even though he’s now an embarrassing 5-for-49 so far in June. It would be an easy call to move him back down if the Mariners’ lineup wasn’t filled with other disappointments and Mitch Haniger (ankle) and Kyle Lewis (concussion) weren’t hurt.
Angels vs. Mariners MLB BETTING PREDICTION
It’s tempting to back the Angels with Ohtani on the hill but the Halos are just 7-19 in their last 26 games coming off a loss, are 5-16 in their last 21 games versus a right-handed starter and are 5-22 in their last 27 games overall. They’ve also dropped six of their last seven games in which they were favored, are winless in their last seven games versus a right-handed starter and are 0-11 in their last 11 road games after nearly being no-hit last night at Dodger Stadium. After a fast start to the season, the Angels have been dreadful.
