Carlos Correa went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI as the Astros beat the Athletics 10-5 in Game 1 of the ALDS on Monday. Correa belted a game-tying two-run shot off A’s starter Chris Bassitt in the top of the fourth inning before adding a solo blast off Lou Trivino in the top of the seventh and an RBI single off Jordan Weems in the top of the ninth. Correa hit a total of five home runs over 58 games during the condensed 2020 regular season and already has three home runs through three games in the 2020 playoffs. He is also the first shortstop in MLB history with multiple career two-homer postseason games. Hate him or love him, the legend grows.
Oakland A’s DFS Spin
Khris Davis hit a two-run homer Monday in the Athletics’ ALDS Game 1 loss to the Astros. Davis opened the game’s scoring with a 418-foot opposite-field drive off Lance McCullers that registered an exit velocity of 103.9 mph. The veteran slugger now has two home runs in three games played this postseason, after tallying only two homers over 30 games played during the condensed 2020 regular season. He also singled Monday, finishing 2-for-4, and can be a weapon for the A’s moving forward in this series.
