Houston Astros DFS SPIN
Chas McCormick went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and a stolen base as the Astros fell to the Angels on Sunday afternoon in Houston. The 28-year-old outfielder smacked a one-out single off of Matt Moore in the eighth inning and swiped second base, but the Astros were unable to plate him as the tying run. He’s having a very solid season for the Astros — slashing .280/.368/.517 with 15 homers, 47 RBI and 13 stolen bases.
Miami Marlins DFS SPIN
Luis Arraez hit a game-tying triple in the ninth inning as the Marlins came back to beat the Yankees 8-7 on Sunday. Arraez finished the day 3-for-5 with three RBI with that late triple being the only extra base hit of the day. The second baseman had been cooling off a bit of late but is still hitting .367/.411/.467 on the year with 57 RBI from the top of the Marlins lineup.

Astros vs. Marlins MLB BETTING PREDICTION
Over his last five starts, Valdez is 2-1 but his ERA sits at an ugly 6.10 and his FIP is 5.04. While his 3.95 xFIP suggests that better days are ahead, those are some ugly numbers for a pitcher that has a no-hitter on his resume this season. On the other side, Garrett is 1-1 over his last five outings (24 2/3 innings) and while his ERA sits at an unsightly 5.47, his 3.75 FIP suggests he’s deserved a better fate in that category. His .360 BABIP is also an indication that he’s been unlucky. Nonetheless, I’m going to take the over tonight. Valdez isn’t in good form and if Garrett stays unlucky for another start, than these offenses should clear that 7.5-run total.
