Houston Astros DFS SPIN
Jake Meyers mashed the Astros past the Yankees with a pair of three-run homers on Sunday. The Yankees still made a game of it, getting the tying run on base in the ninth, but the Astros held on to win 9-7. Finally seemingly ahead of Corey Julks on the depth chart, Meyers has gotten to start five of the Astros’ last seven games. It seems obvious that he should play regularly, given that he’s the Astros’ best defensive outfielder and he’s outhitting the alternatives. The two-homer game was the second of his career. It’s the first time he’s driven in six runs.
Baltimore Orioles DFS SPIN
Austin Hays was held out of the Orioles’ lineup for the second straight game on Sunday due to general soreness. O’s skipper Brandon Hyde indicated that Hays was a bit sore after making a pair of diving catches in the outfield, and needed a couple of days to rest and get back to full strength. He should return to the O’s lineup early in the week.

Valdez is 9-7 with a 3.07 ERA and is coming off throwing a no-hitter against the Guardians last Tuesday. He finished with seven strikeouts and a walk, needing just 93 pitches to complete the 2-0 win and throw the 16th no-hitter in Astros history. He also owns a 3.68 ERA against the Orioles in three appearances, including two starts, spanning 14 2/3 innings. Rodriguez, meanwhile, is 2-3 with a 6.09 ERA and allowed three runs on two hits with six strikeouts and two walks in a 4-1 loss against the Blue Jays in his last start. Give me the Astros.
