Houston Astros DFS SPIN
Yordan Álvarez went 2-for-4 with an RBI on Monday in a loss to the Rangers. Álvarez gave the Astros a 1-0 lead with an RBI single off Taylor Hearn in the first. The sweet-swinging 24-year-old has been outstanding in 2022 with 42 RBI, 17 homers and a 1.028 OPS over 55 games. That’ll get the job done.
Texas Rangers DFS SPIN
Marcus Semien went 3-for-4 with a walk to help the Rangers to a 5-3 win over the Astros on Monday. All three hits were singles. The shortstop was off to about as poor of a start as one could have, but to say things have been better as of late is quite the understatement. Of course, it couldn’t have gotten much worse, but the 2021 MVP candidate has increased his average from .154 on May 14 to .226. Semien should continue to see his numbers rise over the summer, the question is whether they’ll be good enough to overcome the awfulness that was the first month-plus.
Astros vs. Rangers MLB BETTING PREDICTION
The Astros are still 36-15 in their last 51 meetings with the Rangers despite losing last night’s meeting and are 5-2 in their last seven games in Arlington. Houston has also won six of its last eight road games, is 14-6 in its last 20 divisional games and is 10-3 in its last 13 games following a loss. The Rangers, meanwhile, are just 1-4 in their last five home games and are 2-6 in their last eight games versus a right-handed starter.
