Houston Astros DFS SPIN
Chas McCormick hit a three-run triple in the top of the eighth to lead the Astros to a 5-3 win over the Rangers on Sunday. McCormick’s triple in a 1-1 game was only a couple of feet away from being a grand slam. He also singled in the game. For weeks now, McCormick has been sitting every third game like clockwork, which means he would be on the bench Monday. He gave Dusty Baker reason to play him three in a row, though.
Texas Rangers DFS SPIN
Nathaniel Lowe collected his ninth homer and 22nd double Sunday against the Astros. The two-run homer off Bryan Abreu pulled the Rangers with one run in the eighth, but no one could do anything afterwards. It was Lowe’s first homer since June 13. In spite of his somewhat lackluster showing thus far, he has 53 runs scored and 45 RBI while hitting third in the Rangers lineup. If he were performing like he did last year, he’d probably be in the top 10 in the majors in both of those categories.
