Houston Astros DFS Notes
Zack Greinke will start Game 4 of the ALCS against the Red Sox on Tuesday. The Astros are running thin on options after three straight abbreviated outings from their starters and an extended relief appearance by Jake Odorizzi. Greinke has thrown just one inning so far this postseason and hasn’t gone five innings in a start in five weeks, so he won’t be long for Tuesday’s outing.
Boston Red Sox DFS Notes
The Red Sox will start Nick Pivetta in Tuesday’s ALCS Game 4 versus the Astros. Both of Pivetta’s appearances in the ALDS came in relief, although they were extended outings. He was brilliant in Game 3, fanning seven over four scoreless versus the Rays. The Red Sox won’t be counting on him to pitch terribly deep into Tuesday’s start, but the good news is they don’t need him to after Eduardo Rodriguez gave them six strong Monday.

The over is now a perfect 5-0 in the last five meetings between these two teams, is 9-3-2 in the Astros’ last 14 road games and is 6-2-2 in their last 10 road games when facing a right-handed starter. The over is also 6-0 in Houston’s last six games overall, is 5-0 in its last five games as an underdog and is 6-0 in its last playoff games. On the other side, the over is 6-0 in the Red Sox’ last six games overall, is 4-0 in their last four games following g win and is 6-1 in their last seven playoff games as a favorite.
