Houston Astros DFS SPIN
Serving as the Astros’ catcher, Yainer Diaz hit a three-run homer Friday in a 7-3 victory over the Yankees. Diaz figured to play a bit less with Yordan Alvarez back, but it hasn’t been an issue thus far, as he’s caught three times and DH’d once in the last five games. Playing time might still be an issue if Michael Brantley ever makes it back, but the Astros have to keep working him in as much as possible.
New York Yankees DFS SPIN
Jake Bauers went 2-for-4 and homered as the Yankees’ first baseman on Friday. The Yankees might be picking up Luke Voit, but Bauers obviously deserves to be in the lineup against righties for now. The 27-year-old has one of the best barrel rates in baseball, and he’s probably been unlucky in posting his perfectly solid .229/.305/.494 line in 187 plate appearances to date.
