Orioles shock Cleveland
The Orioles picked up a surprising 4-2 win at Cleveland on Saturday to avoid a potential sweep. Baltimore is now 37-86 overall and 16-46 on the road. The Orioles are scoring 3.93 runs per game on offense while allowing 5.44 per contest.
The Orioles give the start to Yefry Ramirez on Sunday. He has started eight games this season and has a 1-4 record with a 5.40 ERA and a 1.43 WHIP. Ramirez has 40 strikeouts and 20 walks through 40.0 innings of work this year.
Indians end win streak
The Indians saw their six-game win streak come to an end on Saturday in the upset loss to the Orioles. Cleveland is now 70-52 overall and 38-24 at home. The Tribe are putting up 5.11 runs per game this season while allowing 4.02 per contest.
Mike Clevinger will get the start for the Indians this afternoon. Clevinger has started 24 games this season and has an 8-7 record with a 3.38 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP. Clevinger has 148 strikeouts and 52 walks over 151.2 innings of work this season.
MLB Betting Trends
Baltimore
The Orioles are 2-5 in their last seven against the AL Central and 1-5 in Ramirez’ last six starts against a winning team.
Cleveland
The Indians have won their last six following a loss and eight of their last 10 Sunday games.
Prediction:
The Indians haven’t looked good in this series. They barely won on Friday and lost on Saturday to an awful Baltimore team. I worry Cleveland is going back into one of those hitting funks that they have found themselves in multiple times this year. Still, I can’t pick the Orioles. They are 37-86 for a reason and they are 16-46 on the road for a reason. I think Clevinger can lead Cleveland to a win and the Indians bats have to heat up against an average pitcher.
The Pick: Cleveland Indians -1.5 (-140)
