Blue Jays favored to win World Series
The stacked Toronto Blue Jays are currently favored to win the 2015 World Series ahead of Tuesday night’s kick off of the 2015 MLB Postseason.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Blue Jays are 13/4 favorites to win this year’s championship while the Royals have the next best odds at 9/2 and the Dodgers are 11/2. The Mets, meanwhile, are 13/2 while the Cardinals and Rangers are both 8/1, respectively.
The Cubs, who will play the Pirates in a one-game playoff on Wednesday night, are 9/1 to win the World Series while the aforementioned Bucs are 12/1. The Astros are 14/1, while the Yankees have the longest odds at 16/1.
The Blue Jays have the offensive firepower to go the distance and an ace in David Price that has pitched in big moments before. The Royals, with their pitching, defense and experience from 2014, are also dangerous while the Dodgers have the best 1-2 punch in the playoffs thanks to Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke.
Speaking of pitching, the Mets are loaded with Matt Harvey, Noah Syndergaard and Jacob deGrom, while the Cardinals are also stacked with John Lackey, Jaime Garcia and closer Trevor Rosenthal. The Rangers were one of the hottest teams in baseball over the final month of the season while the Cubs have power in bunches and the Pirates are well-balanced.
