Toronto Blue Jays DFS SPIN
Starting for the first time in three games, Alejandro Kirk went 3-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk against the Padres on Thursday. Kirk really needs a good stretch here or he could find himself treated like a true backup catcher with the Jays potentially picking up another bat at the trade deadline. His power has mostly abandoned him this season, leaving him with a .241/.322/.321 line in 239 plate appearances.
Seattle Mariners DFS SPIN
Teoscar Hernández went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI on Thursday, leading the Mariners to a 5-0 victory the Twins. Hernández kicked off the scoring with an RBI single in the opening frame and further extended Seattle’s early lead with a fourth-inning blast off right-hander Pablo López. It was his 16th round-tripper of the season and first time he’s gone deep since June 27.

Blue Jays vs. Mariners MLB BETTING PREDICTION
I like the Mariners tonight in Game 1. Kikuchi, who is facing his former team, is 0-1 with a 6.43 ERA in three starts this month. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings on Sunday against the visiting Diamondbacks while struggling with his command and surrendered two runs (one earned) on two hits and three walks. While he’s 7-3 with a 4.13 ERA on the season, he appears to be hitting or in the midst of a rough patch and I don’t mind fading Kikuchi in his return to Seattle. Meanwhile, rookie right-hander Bryce Miller will toe the rubber for the Mariners and the kid has been outstanding this season. He’s 6-3 with a 3.66 ERA on the season and is coming off another strong outing last Sunday in the team’s 2-0 victory over the Tigers in which Miller pitched five scoreless innings.
