Toronto Blue Jays DFS SPIN
The Blue Jays announced that George Springer was diagnosed with a right forearm contusion and is undergoing further evaluation. Springer was hit by a pitch during the sixth inning of Wednesday’s contest. The good news, at least initially, is that he appeared to avoid any serious injury. It sounds like he has yet to go for X-rays or additional imaging though, so there may not be more clarification until Thursday. Stay tuned.
Boston Red Sox DFS Spin
J.D. Martinez was pulled from Wednesday’s game against the Blue Jays with left adductor tightness. It’s not clear exactly how he sustained the groin injury. He had been 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI prior to being pinch-hit for in the fifth inning. He’ll presumably head for testing to determine the severity of the injury, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see him wind up on the injured list here. Stay tuned.
