Toronto Blue Jays DFS SPIN
George Springer went 0-for-5 in his return from illness Tuesday against the Red Sox. He should have taken one more game off. On defense, Springer overran an easy flyball to right, gifting Justin Turner a double. That, at least, did not directly wind up hurting the Jays. The lousy game left him at .216/.272/.302 for the season.
Boston Red Sox DFS SPIN
Connor Wong went 4-for-4 with two homers and a double Tuesday to lead the Red Sox to a 7-6 win over the Blue Jays on Tuesday. Houck was two feet away from having a three-homer game but also two-feet away from having a one-homer game, so he really can’t complain. His double was a missile off the top of the Green Monster, and then his first homer barely eclipsed the top of the wall, landing on the ledge above the Monster before dropping down. That one required a review. The second homer was a no-doubter, also to left field. Wong has raised his OPS from .528 to .869 with nine hits, including three homers, in his last three games. He’s probably not a No. 1 catcher in mixed leagues, but if he’s still available in any two-catcher leagues, he should be grabbed.
