Blue Jays vs. Reds Prediction
Chris Bassitt will oppose Brandon Williamson in Saturday evening’s pitching matchup at the Great American Ballpark, where the Reds will host the Blue Jays at 6:40 p.m. ET. With the Reds listed as home underdogs and the total sitting at 10 runs, what’s the best bet tonight in Cincinnati.

Toronto Blue Jays DFS SPIN
Alejandro Kirk failed to come up with a hit in four at-bats against the Reds on Friday. Kirk had a great run to begin the second half, batting .389 with three homers in 12 games through July 31. However, he’s in a 7-for-40 rut since the calendar turned to August. He’s started three straight games over Danny Jansen anyway, but he’ll likely take a seat on Saturday.
Cincinnati Reds DFS SPIN
Christian Encarnacion-Strand delivered a walkoff homer in the bottom of the ninth to give the Reds a 1-0 win over the Blue Jays on Friday. Encarnacion-Strand’s 411-foot homer off Jordan Hicks was just the seventh hit for either team of the game. It’s the biggest moment of CES’s MLB career thus far. He hasn’t matched the debuts of Matt McLain and Elly De La Cruz, but he’s held his own in hitting .253/.317/.400 with four homers and 15 RBI in 28 games.

Blue Jays vs. Reds MLB BETTING PREDICTION
Bassitt is 2-1 with a 3.30 ERA and 4.30 FIP over his last five starts, spanning 30 innings in the process. As for Williamson, he’s a perfect 3-0 over his last five starts (28 1/3 innings), posting a 3.18 ERA and 3.55 FIP over that span. Considering neither offense is tearing it up at the moment (the Blue Jays do have a 105 wRC+ over the past month, but the Reds have a 90 wRC+ over that same span) and the pitching matchup is sound, I’m taking the under tonight in Cincinnati.
