Toronto Blue Jays DFS SPIN

Kevin Kiermaier went 2-for-3 and drove in the Blue Jays’ lone run as they dropped Game 1 of their Wild Card Series against the Twins on Tuesday afternoon in Minnesota. Kiermaier drew a two-out walk in the second inning but was stranded at first base. He then reached on a two-out single in the fourth inning, but Bo Bichette was cut down at the plate attempting to score on the play. Kiermaier then finally got the Jays on the board with a two-out RBI single off of Pablo Lopez in the sixth inning, but that would wind up being the extent of their offense.

Minnesota Twins DFS SPIN

Royce Lewis clubbed a pair of home runs in his first career postseason game on Tuesday, powering the Twins to a 3-1 victory over the Blue Jays in Game 1 of their Wild Card Series. Edouard Julien worked a walk to start the home half of the first inning, then Lewis tagged right-hander Kevin Gausman for a 386-foot two-run blast to give the Twins an early 2-0 edge. He then smashed an opposite-field 397-foot shot in the third inning to make it a 3-0 ballgame. The 24-year-old phenom — playing in his first game in nearly two weeks — became the second player in Twins’ franchise history to have a multi-homer game in the postseason, joining Gary Gaetti from the 1987 ALCS. Lewis also drew a walk in the fifth inning, reaching base safely in three of his four plate appearances in the ballgame. The Twins will look to close out the Blue Jays on Wednesday afternoon in Minnesota.

Blue Jays vs. Twins Game 2 MLB BETTING PREDICTION

Take the under. The current Toronto roster is batting just .189 against Minnesota starter Sonny Gray. The Blue Jays’ expected metrics versus Gray are also rough, with a .209 expected batting average, a .349 expected slug and a .303 xwOBA. The Twins’ current roster hasn’t had much success against Jose Berrios, either. Minnesota is batting just .161 against the right-hander, with a .254 wOBA. Their expected batting average against Berrios is a paltry .149, while their expected slugging percentage is just .247. Runs should once again be at a premium today at Target Field.

Blue Jays vs. Twins Game 2 MLB Playoffs Prediction: UNDER 7.5
