Orioles to claim second straight over Red Sox?
After a putrid start, Baltimore’s series vs. first-place Boston hasn’t been all bad. In fact, Buck Showalter’s group could salvage a split with a winning showing tonight.
The two American League East rivals conclude their four-game set at 7:05 p.m. ET. Oddsmakers at online sports book BetDSI prefer the Red Sox as 1.5-run favorites. The Orioles, conversely, enter as +115 underdogs.

It’s not often that a team surrenders five homers and still goes home with a smile. Nonetheless, that’s precisely what the O’s (29-22) did roughly 15 hours ago. They dealt John Farrell’s crew a 13-9 defeat and climbed within two games of the division lead.
Baltimore must be optimistic about facing Rick Porcello (7-2, 3.68 ERA), too. The righty compiled an 0-2 record with a 9.37 ERA in three 2015 outings vs. the Orioles. He’s also faltering at the moment, having netted only two victories in May.

Showalter will deploy the ever-combustible Ubaldo Jimenez (2-6, 6.36). Most recently, the veteran got shelled for six runs and five hits in 1 2/3 innings of an 11-4 loss to Cleveland. Jimenez is 2-5 with a 7.25 ERA in 12 career turns against the Red Sox (32-21).
Clearly, we’re blowing minds by predicting an offensive bonanza. The visiting club continues to pace the majors in batting average (.296), runs (317), doubles (136) and slugging percentage (.496). Meanwhile, the one-two punch of Manny Machado (.314) and Mark Trumbo (39 RBIs) carries the load for Camden Yards’ finest. Enjoy the evening fireworks.
