Atlanta Braves DFS SPIN
Jared Shuster allowed three runs in 5 2/3 innings Friday against the Phillies. Two walks and a triple led to two runs in the third. The other run came in the sixth after Shuster exited with two outs and a man on first. Joe Jiménez came in and retired just one of four batters, allowing the inherited runner to score and giving up a run of his own. The Braves might have won this one had they given Shuster a chance to finish the sixth. Instead, they lost 6-4.
Oakland A’s DFS SPIN
James Kaprielian allowed five runs — four earned — over five innings on Friday in a loss against the Astros. Kaprielian got through a scoreless first inning before giving up a run on three hits in the second. The Astros would get to him for four more runs in the third. Kaprielian held on to give the A’s some length, tossing two more innings before he was replaced in the sixth. The 29-year-old right-hander will take an abysmal 8.45 ERA, 1.88 WHIP, and 34 strikeouts across 33 innings into a tough matchup against the Braves in Oakland on Wednesday.
