Braves manager Brian Snitker said Monday that while he hasn’t made a final decision, there’s a “good chance” Eddie Rosario will remain in the leadoff spot even with Jorge Soler back in action. It’s especially noteworthy for Game 1, as it would be defensible for Soler to hit leadoff against lefty Framber Valdez while Rosario moves down lower in the order. However, it sounds like Snitker is leaning toward keeping the left-handed hitting Rosario where he is even versus a southpaw with as hot as his bat is.
Houston Astros DFS Spin
When asked Sunday what he’ll do with his lineup for games in Atlanta when he doesn’t have the designated hitter spot available, Astros manager Dusty Baker said “I haven’t made up my mind yet.” Baker certainly isn’t going to bench Yordan Alvarez, which means Alvarez will have to play left field. In the four games Alvarez played left in NL parks this season, the Astros moved Michael Brantley to right field and Kyle Tucker to center. That would seem to be the likeliest route Baker takes again, although there’s a chance Tucker will stay in right, Chas McCormick will play center and Brantley will go to the bench. We’ll find out Friday when the series moves to Atlanta.

The Braves are 0-5 in their last five games against the Astros, are 0-4 in their last four interleague games as an underdog and are 2-5 in their last seven playoff road games. On the other side, the Astros are 6-1 in their last seven playoff home games, are 5-1 in their last six interleague home games and are 9-3 in their last 12 games overall.
