Braves vs. Astros Game 6 Prediction

The Astros trailed 4-0 after the first inning of Game 5 and battled back to win 9-5 with their season on the line. Can they now even the series and force a Game 7 when these two teams meet in Houston at 8:09 p.m. ET on Tuesday night?

Atlanta Braves DFS SPIN

Max Fried is lined up to start Game 6 of the World Series on Tuesday evening against the Astros. The Braves failed to claim their first World Series title since 1995 in Sunday’s Game 5 loss to the Astros at Truist Park in Atlanta, but they’ll have another opportunity on Tuesday night at Minute Maid Park in Houston. The dynamic 27-year-old southpaw was lit up for six runs on seven hits across five innings last Wednesday in the Braves’ Game 2 loss. He’s allowed 11 runs on 15 hits across 9 2/3 frames over his last two postseason starts. Needless to say, this will be the most important start of his professional career.

Astros manager Dusty Baker said Monday that while it’s possible Jose Urquidy could be available to pitch in Game 6 of the World Series on Tuesday, he’d “rather not” use him. Urquidy pitched an inning in relief in Game 5, which ruled him out for the Game 6 start. He’s presumably in line to start Game 7 if there is one, but he’ll be available in an emergency for Game 6 with the Astros trying to stave off elimination. Luis Garcia is starting Tuesday on short rest, with Cristian Javier and Jake Odorizzi available as multi-inning options behind him.

Braves vs. Astros World Series Betting Prediction

The Braves have dropped four of their last five games in Houston and are 3-7 in their last 10 games versus the Astros overall. They’re also 2-6 in their last eight interleague games as an underdog and are 2-5 in their last seven road playoff games. On the other side, the Astros are 7-2 in their last nine home playoff games and are 6-2 in their last eight games versus a left-handed starter.

WORLD SERIES GAME 6 BETTING PREDICTION: HOUSTON ASTROS -130
