Atlanta Braves DFS SPIN
Austin Riley went 3-for-5 and launched two homers Wednesday as the Braves bested the Nationals 8-2. Riley is hitting .299 with nine homers and 20 RBI in his last 21 games. His current average of .259 is really more along the lines of what should be expected for the rest of the season, but there aren’t more than a handful of players who are better bets in the power categories.
Chicago Cubs DFS SPIN
Christopher Morel went 2-for-4 and homered in a second straight game Thursday against the Padres. He also swiped his seventh base since his callup. The strikeouts are beginning to pile up for Morel — he’s totaled 10 in his last five games and 33 in 28 games overall — but he’s still getting on base at a solid clip anyway. It certainly doesn’t seem like he’ll be departing the Cubs lineup anytime soon.
Braves vs. Cubs MLB BETTING PREDICTION
The Braves have won six of their last eight games overall, are 7-0 in their last seven games after allowing two runs or less in their previous game and are a perfect 4-0 in their last four games when playing an opener of a new series. Atlanta is also a perfect 8-0 in its last eight road games, is 14-3 in its last 17 games coming off a win and is 13-3 in its last 16 games after scoring five runs or more in its previous game.
