Atlanta Braves DFS SPIN
A.J. Minter gave up five runs in the ninth inning to take a loss to the Marlins on Thursday. It was a 4-0 game when Minter entered, so he doesn’t get a blown save. This is worse, though. Minter gave up nothing but line drives today, and he got just two missed swings on 23 pitches. Minter was one of the guys who figured to have a tougher time adapting to the pitch clock than most, and whether that has anything to do with it or not, his velocity has been down some this year. It seems unlikely that he’ll keep getting save chances with his ERA up to 8.53. Nick Anderson could be the stopgap until Raisel Iglesias returns.
New York Mets DFS SPIN
Mets manager Buck Showalter said Francisco Álvarez checked out fine after being removed from Thursday’s contest against the Nationals. Showalter added that Álvarez might be available on Friday after being lifted in the ninth inning of Thursday’s game against the Nationals for precautionary reasons after taking a pair of Jeimer Candelario swings off the back of his head.
