Josh Hader struggled in a losing effort against the Twins on Wednesday afternoon, serving up a walk-off three-run homer to Jose Miranda. The All-Star closer came on with the score tied at 1-1 in the ninth, but immediately got himself into trouble by issuing a leadoff walk to Jorge Polanco. Max Kepler followed with a single, then Miranda clobbered his game-winning blast, hanging three runs on Hader while he didn’t record a single out. He has been a bit shaky of late, but still boasts a 2.73 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 52/11 K/BB ratio over 29 2/3 innings to go with his league-leading 27 saves.
San Francisco Giants DFS SPIN
Giants manager Gabe Kapler told reporters on Wednesday that Brandon Belt is dealing with swelling in his knee, which is why he has been serving as the team’s designated hitter so much recently. Kapler noted that Belt will get the knee drained again over the All-Star break. The 34-year-old slugger homered again on Wednesday and is 8-for-11 with a pair of homers over his last four games, so it’s no wonder the Giants want to keep his bat in the lineup.
Brewers vs. Giants MLB BETTING PREDICTION
The under has cashed in five of the last six meetings between these two teams and is 3-1-1 in the last five meetings at Oracle Park. The under is also 4-1 in the Brewers’ last five games overall, is 6-1-1 in the Giants’ last eight games when playing the opening game of a series and with Burnes set to square off against Rodon, the under should cash again tonight.
MLB BETTING PREDICTION: BREWERS/GIANTS UNDER 6.5
