LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – Bryce Harper is the current favorite to win the National League Most Valuable Player Award over Paul Goldschmidt and Buster Posey.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Harper is a 2/3 favorite to win this year’s National League MVP while Goldschmidt is 3/2 and Posey has odds of 17/2. The only player in this group to win the MVP is Posey, who took home the honors in 2012. Clayton Kershaw of the Dodgers won the MVP in 2014 while Andrew McCutchen of the Pirates won in 2013.

As of this writing, Harper is hitting .330 with a .454 OPB and a .667 slugging percentage. He’s cranked 29 home runs, scored 69 runs and has driven in 68 over 98 games with the Nationals. He’s also tied with Mike Trout of the Angels with a 6.4 WAR (best in the Majors), while his wRC+ is a whopping 204 and his wOBA is .467.

Goldschmidt, meanwhile, has 22 home runs and is batting .339 over 104 games with the Diamondbacks. His WAR is currently 5.2 while his wRC+ is 176 and his wOBA is .432. Posey is having another banner year himself, hitting .327 with a .507 slugging percentage and a 4.8 WAR. In 97 games with the Giants, he’s hit 16 home runs while driving in 73 and producing a 153 wRC+.
