Phillies vs. Dodgers Prediction
Will the Los Angeles Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies have a low-scoring battle when the two NL foes meet up tonight at 9:10PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Dodgers are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -215 to win, while the Phillies are listed at +195 to win. The over/under total for the game is listed at 7.5 runs.

Today’s pitching matchup has Zach Eflin (0-0, 1.50 ERA) on the mound to face Brandon McCarthy (3-0, 2.25) of the Dodgers. Eflin has allowed just two earned runs over two starts and 12 innings. He has seven strikeouts to three walks. McCarthy has not allowed more than 2 runs in any of his four outings. He has given up just six earned runs in 24 innings of work this year. He has 22 strikeouts to eight walks.
The Dodgers took Game 1 of the weekend series on Friday night, 8-5. The two went over the 7.5 total in the contest. Los Angeles comes into tonight’s game 12-12 overall, 7-4 at home and 15-9 with the under. Philadelphia is 11-10 overall, 4-6 on the road and 11-10 with the over.
Friday’s game saw the two team combine for 17 hits, but produce just eight runs in a matchup of two struggling starters. Both bullpens pitched wall, as the Phillies went 2.1 innings and allowed just one hit and no runs. The Dodgers pitched two innings and allowed just one earned run.
These two hit the over last night with a poor pitching matchup and a low total. The number hasn’t been changed for today’s game, but the starting battle is much better. Eflin and McCarthy have been solid in limiting run damage. The Dodgers’ bullpen has been difficult to score on this season as well, so I think today’s game hits the under. I don’t see either starter getting blown up.
